a bit about me:
Sandy is a native western Pennsylvanian. She has over 25 years of experience starting and running small businesses, has a B.S. in biology/medical technology. She completed her MBA from Frostburg and her Doctorate in Management at the University of Maryland University College. She earned a Master's degree in Learning Design and Technology in 2020. Her current role is Deputy Director (COO) at the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) at University of Maryland. The SBDC helps people start and grow their businesses. She has been a professor in the MBA program at Walden University, teaching creativity, innovation, and business sustainability. She also has taught Evidence-based Management in the MBA program at Frostburg State University.
Years of experience consulting with small businesses and holding a leadership role in an organization that consults with small businesses has positioned her with the experience necessary to provide the advice, support, and guidance to organizations as a Board Member.
